STUDIO

I use the floor of my studio as my palette. I use many different kinds of objects as my tools. I work in cycles on three to five works at the same time. I re-visit each piece with my layering and scraping process, using a variety of tools along with my hands directly on the surface of the work. Some of my tools, such as the scraping tools, become inspiration for future concepts, as does my floor palette. Once I feel I have completed a small group of three to five works, I begin the process all over again. Generally, a body of work consists of approximately fifteen to twenty works of paintings on canvas, paper, and wood.
